John is a native of Murfreesboro, TN, who first began working at Comas Montgomery Realty and Auction Co., Inc. as a young boy. His fondest memories of childhood include helping his grandpa and uncles with auctions, and those roots are what drives his passion for selling real estate as an adult.

John is a U.S. Army Veteran, having spent most of his young adult life serving as an Infantry Officer in Georgia and Texas, and as a Special Operations Civil Affairs Officer in North Carolina. He is a proud recipient of the Bronze Star Medal for his service in Afghanistan, and he completed a tour of duty in Colombia, South America where he led team missions in partnership with the U.S. Embassy.

Following his military service, John served as Middle Tennessee State University’s Manager of Contract Compliance, where he negotiated multi-million-dollar business transactions and public contracts. As a Principal Auctioneer, John is dedicated to continuing his grandpa’s vision while working alongside his family to ensure Comas Montgomery Realty and Auction Co., Inc. remains the most sought after real estate firm in Middle Tennessee. 

John is a 2008 Lipscomb University graduate, and he earned his J.D. degree from Faulkner University in 2011. He is a licensed Tennessee Attorney, and a graduate of the Nashville Auction School. With his professional background and dedicated service, John offers a zealous approach to negotiating real estate transactions and his mission focuses on delivering exceptional customer service to his clients. John and his wife, Ashton, reside in Murfreesboro with their two children, Harrison and Vivian.
